今回送ってもらった商品は、まだ私の家には届いていないけど、どうやら開封されたようです。というのは荷物を追跡すると二次検査をされているのが分かったからです(二次検査に回されるとほとんど関税がかかります)
When merchandise are sent as gifts, risk of being opened at the custom is reduced but if the parcel is opened, the merchandise are almost guaranteed to be taxed.
I have not received the parcel that you had sent this time but it looked like it was opened. I learnt this from its tracking record, which showed that the parcel had been transferred to second examination. (Once a parcel is transferred to the second examination, it is usually taxed.)
