オープンデッキカヌーやインディアンカヌー等の別名を持つカナディアンカヌーは、パドルを使って、前後の2人がそれぞれ片側を漕ぐことによってカヌーを操ります。中学生以下の場合、カヌーを安定させるために3人一組で乗り込みます。もともと荷物を運んだり狩りや漁をするのに使われていたので想像以上に安定性が良く、簡単にひっくり返ったりはしません
基本漕艇技術はもちろんのこと、水辺での遊び方やルール・マナーなど、違った角度からの自然とのふれあい・自然の力を感じます
Canadian canoe, sometimes it's called open deck canoe or indian canoe, is steered with paddles by two persons. One of them sit the front and the another person sit the back, and they row the canoe together, one person row from the one side and the another parson from the another side. If you are under 12old, you need to row canoe by 3 people to balance. Canoe has good stability, and it does not lay keeled easily as canoe was used for carrying burdens, hunting or fishing originally.
