宮城県気仙沼市で、東日本大震災の津波で海から約800メートル内陸に打ち上げられた大型漁船「第18共徳丸」海から内陸へ500mも内側だ。この船を目の前にして、改めて津波の怖さが伝わってきた。
長らく保存か解体か地元住民の方々で話し合われきたが、解体する事に決定した。この地域に住んでいない私に軽はずみな事は言えないが、解体される前にこの「第18共徳丸」の勇士を目に焼き付けておこうと思う。大海原で活躍したかっただろうね。力になれなくてごめんなさい。「第18共徳丸」お疲れさまでした。
