The JBL Solid State Energizer is a precision audio power source which takes the place of a conventional stereo power amplifier. Unlike a conventional amplifier - the Energizer is non-microphonic, generates almost no heat and uses negligible electric power during idle periods. Moreover, the internal circuitry of the Energizer is adjustable to match the specific JBL loudspeakers and loudspeaker enclosures with witch it uses. The SE-401 and SE-402 are identical in operation. When the 401 Energizer is factory installed by JBL, it is designated as SE-402. 117V, 60 CPS, 125 Watt, 2 Channel.
The 2 filter capacitors (large can style caps) were replaced and the gain controls were cleaned.
