e-Health portal CompareClinic launches, takes the fight to DocDoc and DoctorPage
Following the recent buzz from e-health portals DoctorPage and DocDoc, we have a new company launching in the e-health portal space: CompareClinic.
CompareClinic is a new online healthcare community aiming to help users find and connect with trusted medical specialists that best fit their needs. Visitors to CompareClinic will get free access to clinic profiles as well as customer feedback for each medical facility or clinic. Additionally, the website also provides users with health tips and information on the latest treatment options from certified healthcare professionals to help them make more informed medical decisions. They can then connect with these medical specialists through the website’s online appointment booking system. Co-founded by Virginia Chan, CompareClinic claims to have over 1,000 listings of medical outlets in the region, with more than half of them in Singapore. CompareClinic currently offers information and customer feedback for clinics in more than 20 categories from encompassing both traditional and more modern approaches to healing, including acupuncture, cardiology, dental services, fertility, holistic health, eye care, physiotherapy, chiropractic, orthopaedics and aesthetics. With a dedicated team who are working on clinics and medical outlets listings, CompareClinic operates on a freemium model. While it is free to list basic clinic and doctor profiles, which come with a complementary booking system, the online platform charges you if you need to list additional services catering to your clients’ needs. This premium feature allows users to better showcase their services and further engage with users by publishing their own content. Cofounder Virginia also shared with us that the team is privately funded by the founders and private investors from Singapore, Hong Kong and China. They will soon be expanding to Hong Kong and other countries in the APAC region.
With CompareClinic joining DocDoc and DoctorPage in hopes to be the best eHealth portal, it will be interesting to see who will stand out.
