無数の興味の対象があり，理想は，美術館，考古学博物館，自然史博物館，産業史博物館，化学博物館, 商業美術館などのあらゆる専門分野の博物館を設立することであった。
だが，資金不足の為にその可能性は依然として難しかった。

資金を少しづつかき集め，財政の許される範囲の資力で，あらゆるジャンルの博物館の設立を試みた。
しかしながら，ちらばった情報の山は，きちんと整理配列されなければ，何の意味もなかった。
それ故，秩序なく，数多くの範囲を寄せ集めるよりも，わずかだが，完全に整った科目を整える方が望ましかった。
新しい科目は，自分らの裁量でまかなえる状態で加えられなければならなかったのだ。

　興味の対象には限りがなく、理想はそれぞれの専門分野の博物館を作ることでしょう。つまり、美術館、考古学博物館、自然史博物館、産業博物館、科学博物館、商業博物館などです。しかし、資金不足により現時点ではまだ不可能です。しかしながら、我々が自由に使える資金の内で、あらゆるところから徐々に収集し、試しに、不完全ながらも、小さな博物館として様々なものを所蔵することは可能です。とはいえ、多くの情報を、整理しないまま用いることは不可能です。したがって、こじんまりした博物館から始めるのが良いでしょう。多くの分野を統一感なく寄せ集めて展示するよりも、むしろ極少数の分野を完璧に展示することが望ましいのです。我々の資金への支援により、新たな分野を追加していくことは可能となるでしょう。
