親愛なるNathanへ
Nathan、貴方が沖縄に来てそろそろ半年が経ったでしょうか。この半年、楽しいことが沢山あったと思います。
最初、姉から貴方を紹介してもらった時に、「とても優しそうな人だな」と思ったことは、今でも昨日の事のように覚えています。それと同時に、正直「優し過ぎて大丈夫かな？」と心配になっったことも事実です。
しかし、姉を３０年以上見てきて、こんなに心が穏やかな日々を過ごしているのを見るのは初めてです。姉も努力していると思いますが、やはり貴方のおかげだと感じます。
Dear Nathan,
Nathan, it must nearly be half a year since you came to Okinawa. We have had a lot of fun in that half a year.
I still remember thinking you seemed like a very nice person when my sister introduced me to you as though it was yesterday. At the same time, it's a fact that I worried you might be too nice.

「Nathan、とかーちゃんが結婚した今、もう銀の父親役は私ではないけれど、いつでも何でも相談しにおいでよ」と。
これからは、貴方が彼の父親です。
It may not be my place to say this as someone who always leaves household matters to his wife, but the home requires mutual effort. You might be spouses, but you started out strangers. Without mutual effort, even being together can become hard. Nathan, Kumiko, enjoy your life as a couple together.
