日米の文化交流を目的にした施設「インターナショナルラーニングセンター」が、岩国市門前町にオープンした。運営する米国人のジャッキー・アレンさん(44)＝同市黒磯町＝は「日米の素晴らしい文化を教え合い、両国の懸け橋となる場に」と願う。
国道１８８号沿いで、門前橋南詰から約２００メートル。元動物病院だった鉄筋２階建てを改装した。１階はダイニングキッチンとレッスン室、２階はパーティーなども開ける約１００平方メートルの多目的ルームを備えている。

International Learning Center whose purpose is cultural communication between Japan and the US was opened in Monzencho, Iwakuni-city.
