今、僕の魂は、君とともにこのブルターニュ号の上にある。
左には神学の殿堂・フランス学士院がそびえ、右には美の殿堂・ルーブル宮が、その優雅な姿を横たえる。
セーヌを抱きつつ、宗教と芸術とが手を携えるとは、何と啓示に満ちた配合か。
再び左手前方には、珠玉の美を集めしオルセーの殿堂と、その対岸に広がる、フランス革命の象徴・コンコルド広場。
セーヌを挟んで、革命と美とが手を携えるとは、何と福音に満ちた俯瞰図か。

My spirit is with you now, here above the Bretagne.
Towering over us on the left is the Hall of Theology, the Institut de France. On the right is the Hall of Art, where the grandiose of the Musee du Louvre spreads out before us.
They lie hugging the River Seine as if religion and art have joined hands in revelation.
Ahead on the left is the Musee d’Orsay, wherein are collected many masterpieces of art. On the opposite side of the river lies a symbol of the French Revolution, the Place de la Concorde.
It is as if Revolution and Art have joined hands in a bird’s-eye-view of the Gospel, clinging along the edges of the Seine.
