日本人形。
日本人形とは、日本髪を結った姿の人形のことで、
いわば日本の伝統的な風俗を伝える格好をした人形を総じて日本人形と呼びます。
日本人形というと思い浮かべがちなのが、
髪をたらして着物を着た女の子の人形ですが、
おそらくそれは市松人形と呼ばれる種類のもので、
西暦1927年に市松人形が、
人形大使としてアメリカ合衆国へ贈られた際に、「日本人形」とのキャプションがつけられていたことから、
日本人形の代名詞のようになりつつあります。
