端池では鯉やナマズがペットとして飼われていて、ごはんをたべたあとのナベや食器を入れておくと雑食性の彼らはそれをひとつのこらず全部食べてしまう。（当然、生ゴミ入れではないので、残り物をそのまま流すことはない）カレーのような油を含んだものでも食べるが、野菜の切れ端のような人間が食べないものは彼らも食べない。
