世界は私たちのためにはない。
5年前、私がまだ大学生だったとき、バイト先だった江古田にある小さなパスタ屋の店長がこんなことを言っていた。
「周りはみんなパチンコとか競馬とか、ギャンブルをやってる。でも俺はちっともやりたいなんて思わない。俺にとってはこの店自体が、人生を賭けたギャンブルであり、遊びなんだ。」
当時"働く"ということをあまり考えたことのなかった自分にとって、この言葉は衝撃的であった。有名人でもなんでもないこの店長の生き方は、今でも私の目標となっている。

"My friends play gambles like pinball and horse racings, but I really don't feel like doing these kinds of stuff. For me, this restaurant is my gamble that I am betting my life for and my game."
For a kid like me who hadn't really thought about what is "work", this words were really shocking. He is not an actor or big celebrity, but his way of living is still my ideal.

It was a really impressive statement for me because I had not really thought about working. His lifestyle is my goal even though he is not a celebrity or something at all.
