Thermal transmittance is probably not strongly influenced by the thermal conductivity
of the materials. Differences in relative humidity, however, may result in different thermal
transmittance as increasing moisture regain increases thermal conductivity. The distribution between relative humidity and TIV of the physical knitted fabrics is shown in Fig.3. The thermal insulation value of clothing depends on the physical properties of the knitted fabrics, particularly their thickness, and the air space between the body and the knitted fabrics.Therfore, Fig.4 indicates the distribution between the space and the TIV in order to
suggest the effects of the air space on TIV.
