Play the cards you have been dealt. Don't try to change what you have been given up to this point; focus on using what you have now, where you are now, right now. You can change your future, but you can't change your past. You can learn from your past, but you must take what you have and make the best of it from this point on. Don't waste time complaining about the bad hand life has given to you. Life is not always about liking what you have; sometimes it is about doing the best you can with what you have and getting on with it.
