彼らはシフト勤務などと言うシステムを考える訳が無いので、必然的に、よく働く蟻と、普段は怠けているけど、必要な時に働く蟻が生まれるのです。
人間に置き換えると、一生懸命働いて沢山の賃金を貰いたいと思う人と、賃金よりものんびりと過ごす時間が欲しいので、必要な分だけ働くことを好む人がいると言うことになります。
