全員が一斉に働いて、その後一斉に休むと、卵を舐める蟻がいなくなるので、卵にカビが生えて死んでしまいます。
彼らはシフト勤務などと言うシステムを考える訳が無いので、必然的に、よく働く蟻と、普段は怠けているけど、必要な時に働く蟻が生まれるのです。
人間に置き換えると、一生懸命働いて沢山の賃金を貰いたいと思う人と、賃金よりものんびりと過ごす時間が欲しいので、必要な分だけ働くことを好む人がいると言うことになります。

Ants doesn't know about the Shifts system, and therefore, ants that work well as well as ants that doesn't work much unless in needed will be born.
If we look at this as humans, it can be said that there will always be those that work to their best to earn the most, and there are those that only work to a certain degree because they prefer taking it easy over money.
