その矛盾を描き、自由というのは何を指しているのかを深く考えさせられ、テーマをより強調するこのシーンは映画の方が心を打たれた.あまりにも長く刑務所に長くいると、人生に対してのやる気を失い、自分で自分の人生を切り開こうとは思わなくなってしまう。自由という大切なものを放棄するようになってしまう。刑務所内、特に終身刑という刑を背負うと自由という希望は持つだけ無駄という考えになってしまうのはしょうがないかもしれない.何故なら二度と外の生活に出る可能性はないかもという現実があるからだ。

It depicts the contradiction, makes us think what the freedom mean seriously. This scene, which emphasizes the theme, made us feel more impressive in the movie. If we stay in the prison for a long time, we are not motivated in life, and do not try to make our life by ourselves. We tend to abandon the freedom ,which is important. In the prison, when we are sentenced to death, we cannot fight that we might feel that it is waste to have the hope called freedom. The reason is that we might not be able to live out of the prison again.

This scene in the movie that stresses the theme by portraying the paradox, makes you think what freedom means, and was more impressive in the movie. When you are imprisoned too long, you will lose motivation and stop any efforts to open your own life. You will abandon precious freedom. When you are sentenced to life in prison, it would seem natural to lose all hope since the reality is that the possibility that you will ever get back to outside life is next to none.
