埼玉県の長瀞町にある宝登山神社。

111年、天皇の皇子であるヤマトタケルノミコトの東征の際、道中でものすごい山火事に襲われて脱出できなくなってしまいます。
しかし、突然二匹の犬が現れ、猛火に飛び込むとたちまち火を消して山頂まで案内したのち姿を消したそうです。ミコトはこの犬を神の使いだと信じ、この山を「ホドヤマ」(火を止める山の意)と名付け神を祀りました。

In 111 year, during conquestions of Emperor Yamato Takeru mikoto was being attacked by a ferocious wildfire along the way, so that could not be able to escape.

Hodoyama Shrine is located in Nagase-cho in Saitama Prefecture. The building is very beautiful and gorgeous. According to the history book of this shrine, this shrine has been there since 1,900 years ago.
