一昔前のデパートの屋上の殆どは子供向け遊園地的な施設になっていて、いつも多くの人々で大盛況でした。しかし近年その形態は殆ど絶滅し、広い空間にイスが存在するだけという場所に変わりつつあります。
ただ、それらの多くが、夏だけはビアガーデンを開き、大勢の客で賑わう場所となっているのが近年の面白い傾向です。

今作の撮影時期は冬だったので、全体的に屋上フロアに集う人々が少なかったという傾向があったと思います。暖かい季節には多くの人々にとって最高の場所になるのかもしれません。

Decades ago, most rooftops of department stores had amusement park like facilities for children and which were always busy and crowded. However, in recent years such business almost disappeared and these places are changing to just wide space with chairs. But most of these places open beer gardens only in summer gathering lots of customers, this is an interesting trend these days.

The season for shooting this work was winter so I guess not many people gathered on rooftop floor overall. In warm seasons these place might be the best place for many people.

Most rooftops of the department stores a decade ago were like amusement facilities for children and many people enjoyed there. However, most of them are disappeared and the places are turning to big spaces where only chairs are existed. But, it is an interesting trend of recent years that only in summer, most of them are used as beer gardens where many customers gather.

Shooting season of this work was summer, so I think there was a tendency that few people gather on the rooftop as a whole. In the warm season, rooftops can be great spots for many people.
