居酒屋「竹蔵」は間口の狭い狭小地に計画された建物です。
商業地でありながら周辺には住宅が立ち並んでいる事もあり、そのスケール感を損なう事無く、ひっそりと佇む隠れ家の様な建物を目指した。
内部は建物の狭さを感じさせない様に縦方向へのボリュームを取り、そこへ一部中2階を挿入している。
また狭小地でありながら入口まわりに余白のスペースを設け、門を【くぐる】という動作を伴なう事により建物に感覚的な奥行を生じさせ、更には空間としての豊かさを演出している。

The drinking hall called Takekura is a building planed on a small place having narrow frontage.
Since it is located in the commercial zone but with a lot of residential building, the building aimed at a hiding place for no affection on that kind of scale.
At internal, it takes the volume to longitudinal direction and some part of it is inserted second floor, so that actually could not feel the building is narrow.
At the same time, no matter it is a narrow space, a blank space is designed, and makes sensuous depth by opening the door, even performs the richness as a space.
