I am in agreement with the acknowledgment of mercy killing.
Mercy killing is an aggressive action to end one's life so it is different from the so-called death with dignity.
Death with dignity is being acknowledged in Japan, but mercy killing is generally against the law.
However, I think that it is also fine to do mercy killing as long as it is a wish from the person himself.
There is one big reason for this.
Generally, individual decisions on life and death issues should be respected and it is not an issue on other people interfering with it, but it is to ensure that the point of view of one's own decision gets carried out.

I concur to approve euthanasia.
As euthanasia is an action to actively end one's life, it is different from what is called a dignified death.
While a dignified death is approved in Japan, euthanasia is basically illegal.
Nevertheless, in my personal opinion, euthanasia is a good thing if the concerned party wishes to do so.
For saying so, there is one major reason.
Fundamentally, one's life and death is a matter that should respect his/her will, which should not be interferred by others, and it should be guaranteed from the perspective of self-determination right.
