すると先方の担当者は、無理難題といえる難しいデザインを次々と要求してきた。
「この要望に必死になって対応したら、お客さんが思い切り喜んでくれた。以降、一桁大きい仕事を紹介してくれるようになり、仕事を請け負う面白さや、やりがいを感じられるようになった」
兼元氏は言う。「自分ならできる、と確たる自信を持てるようになったからホームレスを脱することができた。俺はダメだ、とめげているうちは何をやっても失敗してしまう」
そして思わぬ転機を幸運に変える秘訣をこう語る。
“When I responded to this demand with all my efforts, the client was ecstatic. After that, he started giving me major assignments with an extra digit, and I found it fun and meaningful to work on those projects.”
Mr. Kanemoto added, “When I had confidence in myself that I could do it, I was able to escape from my homeless life. When I feel I’m no good, I fail no matter how much I try.”
Then he told us the secret of turning an unexpected chance into a good fortune in the following way:
When “he responded these request desperately”, client was pleased tremendously.
After then, the client introduced me jobs in the order of magnitude greater and he became to feel happiness of contracting jobs and to be rewarding.
Mr. Kanemoto said “I can find a way out of the life of homeless because I can have solid confidence of ‘I could do’. As long as beaten by hardships as I am looser, everything you do is failed”
