When you travel to see the Toroki waterfall, you can take a bus to Tainogawa, the nearest bus stop, and then walk for a while to get there.
Still, viewing it closely from the ocean is the best way to enjoy the waterfall.
Looking from the sea, you'll be able to enjoy another great scenery of Yakushima.
A semitropical jungle cruise!
Banyan trees in Sarukawa.
After parking your car at the parking lot off the Prefectural Highway 77, there stretches an animal trail ahead of you.
Tracing faint footsteps on the trail for 15minutes will lead you to find a field of gregarious banyan trees.
This small signage is the only landmark.
Be careful not to miss it!

To the fall of Toroki, you can go to the nearby Tainogawa bus stop by bus, and take a little walk from there, but seeing it from the ocean from close by is recommended.
From the ocean, you can enjoy the different view of Yakushima.
The jungle cruise of subtropics! The banyan tree of Sarukawa river.
If you park your car at the parking lot near route 77, then from there you walk into a trail which is mostly an animal trail.
After a 15 minutes walk following the vague footsteps, then you reach the spot where the banyan trees grow in colonies!
The only landmark is this little sign.

Subtropical jungle cruise! Indian laurel in Sarukawa
