Гигантский общественный туалет, которым пользовались динозавры на протяжении поколений, обнаружен в Аргентине.
Тысячи копролитов, или окаменелых экскрементов травоядных ящеров, обитавших 240 млн лет назад, найдены на небольшом пространстве. Это первое свидетельство того, что древние рептилии пользовались общим отхожим местом.
Состав копролитов содержит указания на состав пищи древних ящеров, заболевания, от которых они страдали, а также даёт представление о растительности в местах их обитания.

Giant public washroom that dinosaurs have used for millenniums discovered in Argentina.
Thousands of coprolites, or fossilized excrements of herbivorous pangolins, who lived 240 million years ago, were found in a small area. This is the first evidence that ancient reptiles used a common latrine.
The composition of the coprolites contains clues as to the composition of the diets of ancient pangolins, sicknesses from which they suffered, and similarly gives an idea of the fauna in their habitats.

An enormous public toilet utilized by dinosaurs over the course of many generations has been discovered in Argentina.
Thousand of coprolites -- fossilized excretions of herbivorous lizards occupying the Earth 240 million years ago -- were found within a small area. This is the first evidence of ancient reptiles having used a public restroom.
The consistency of these corpolites provides some information on the food of the dinosaurs and diseases which they suffered from, and it also hints at the vegetative growth in their habitats.

Слоны, антилопы и лошади относятся к современным животным видам, которые отправляют свои естественные надобности в строго отведенных местах. Цель такого поведения - пометить территорию и сократить возможность распространения паразитов.
Однако ископаемый туалет в Аргентине намного превышает по размерам все современные объекты такого рода, а его возраст отсылает нас в эпоху расцвета динозавров.

Elephants, antelopes, and horses belong to modern animal types, that take care of their natural needs in strictly isolated areas. The goal of this behavior - to mark territory and reduce the potential spread of parasites.
However, the excavated toilet in Argentina greatly exceeds all modern finds of the same type in size and it's age sends us back to the dinosaur era.

Elephants, antelopes, and horses belong to the category of present-day animals which conduct their private natural business in strictly isolated places. The purpose of this behavior is to mark territory and minimize the risk of spreading parasites.
Nonetheless, the toilet dug up in Argentina far exceeds all modern versions of this object in size, and its age sends us back into the golden age of dinosaurs.
