Despite the decrease in exports, Japanese companies' sales are rising in Asian countries. Especially popular are home use items, like household appliances and foodstuffs also: from washing machines for saris, clothes that are difficult to wash, to quick noodles, developped on the basis of a thorough study of Vietnamese culinary tastes. Each product is developped with a special diligence for its adaptation in a particular region. We will relate the strategy of Japanese companies seeking to increase their market shares in countries with different cultures and traditions.
