I agree with you, we don't really use much sugar compared to American candies. 'Cause it's awful when you get a cavity and have to get the tooth taken out...
I love the potato chips I sent you before too and I would eat them all the time! Recently I've been drinking chuhai every day. This candy goes well with alcohol so I end up eating them without meaning to.

That's true, especially when you're tired if you eat (Japanese) snacks you can't help regaining your energy.
As you said, there's not as much sugar compared to what's in America. It's really rough because if you get cavities your teeth get whittled away.
