You can live conveniently in Tokyo because public transportation is well established. For example, I often went out for dinner with my friends when I was a student. Especially after the exam, I looked forward to going for a beer, and it was really helpful that I could use subway until around midnight. It is still impressive even now that the last train was full of people who was going home after having fun.

Public transportation in Tokyo is efficient enough for us to live comfortably. For instance, in my school days, I would often go for dinner with my friends. It was fun to have a drink (beer) especially after examinations were over. On those occasions it was really helpful that subways were in operation until around midnight. It still stands out in my memory that the last train was full of passengers, who were on their way home after enjoying drinking like me.

Tokyo has the excellent transportation which enables the convenient life. During I was the student, for example, we often went out for a meal, and especially we were fond of going out for a meal (actually drinking the beer) right after the semester examination; the subway helped us very much since it run until late. I can clearly recall that the last train trip was full of passengers going home from enjoyment as same as ours.
