いい翻訳とは何でしょう？
時制などの文法も含めて正しいことは基本。さらに、原文の明示的および暗示的な意図を漏れなく汲み取り、適度な意訳や省略もする。それが、現場の翻訳と学校のテストとの違いです。
欲を言えば、同様の場面でよく使われるフレーズを用いること、また、極力簡単な言葉でできていることです。外国人と正確迅速な取引や楽しい会話ができるように、原文の欠点があれば補ってあげられたら素晴らしいですね。
うまく翻訳するのは誰にも難しいことです。Googleやgoo辞書で検索するだけでなく、英辞郎（スペースアルク）でフレーズを検索したり、翻訳後の文章を機械翻訳させて機械が理解できたか確認する方法も使ったりします。
このような苦労の末完成する優れた翻訳には、ぜひ [Good] で拍手してあげようではありませんか。

I think that Good function of Cognac encourages translators, brings them up and help rank them.
if you are the person who requested translation, even if not, and if you are confident, I It is good to evaluate people's translation briskly.
What is a good translation?
It is basic for the sentences to be correct including the grammar of the tense.
Furthermore, you take consideration into the clear statement of the original and suggestive intention without exception and do the moderate free translation and abbreviation. It's the difference between translation on the spot and school tests.
To tell the desire, you use phrases used well in a similar scene, and also use as easy words as possible. It is wonderful if there is a fault of the text and it will be compensated so that we can deal with a foreigner exactly and quickly and have a pleasant conversation.
It is difficult for anyone to translate it well. I search not only Google and Goo dictionary but also 英辞郎 (スペースアルク) for a good phrase and also use the method to confirm whether machine translation will be able to understand my sentences after translation or not.

We believe that the "[Good] count," one of the Coynac's features which displays the number of [Good] marks translators receive, allows us to give kudos to the translators as well as to rate their works.
We recommend you to rate others' translations often when you feel confident doing so, even if you are not the requestor (if you are, then definitely).
By the way, what's a "good" translation?
Correct grammer, including the use of tenses, is a must. In addition to that, a sentence should not miss any meanings, explicit as well as implicit, contained in a original sentence. In order to do that, one needs paraphrasing and omitting some parts if necessary. This s the difference between a translation and an answer for a school English exam.
If we can ask more, it is desirable if one uses common phrases used in the similar context, as well as if one writes with very simple words. It would be truly nice if the translator could correct some flaws in the original sentences so that the requestors will be able to conduct a smooth negotiation with foreigners or to enjoy conversations with them.
Making a good translation is difficult for everyone. It requires a various tactics including the search with Google or online dictionaries, phrase-search with the online-dictionary called "Eigirou (of Space Alc)," or machine-translation to make sure if the machine can interprete the original meanings.
