何故なら自力で高い品質の物を作ることができなければ，日々使うものは海外から輸入する必要があります。

ここでいう「使うもの」とは「知恵」と言い換えることもできます。
知恵を輸入するとは，理解の浅い他国の言語を輸入するということです。何故ならその知恵は他国の言語で表現されているからです
でも知恵を輸入すれば自分で考えたり作ったりする必要はありません。楽ですね。
であれば，世界で一番発展しているアメリカの「知恵」を輸入すれば一番楽に発展することができると思いませんか？

However, if wisdom is important, one would not need to think and make things. It would be so easy.
As such, don't you think that by inputting the wisdom of the United States which is the most developed in the world, would it then mean that we can develop in the easiest way?
