CHAPTER 17-1
There is one sentence that cannot be tolerated in the workplace. It is very damaging to the continued growth of the employees, the managers and, ultimately, the company. That sentence is, "That's good enough."
A manager threw out a brochure design and asked the designer to start over following a brief conversation. The manager asked some questions about the design, and the designer told the manager, ''Well, it could be fixed, but I think it will work good enough the way it is." The comment illustrated for the manager an attitude that he would not tolerate.
