日本建築界の中心地である東京から約800ｋｍも離れ、周辺を太平洋と山に囲まれた四国地方の高知県で”キリコ設計事務所”を設立したのは約40年前のこと。
現在は上森雅明と上森こくとう の2人で設計事務所を運営している。
彼らの作品の特徴として、地域の自然素材を良く使用している事が挙げられる。
作品の多くは日本にあり、保育園から診療所、集合住宅、別荘、商店建築まだ多岐にわたっている。

It is about 800 kilometers from Tokyo, which is center of construction in Japan.
It was about 40 years ago when I established "Kiriko Design Office" in Kochi prefecture in Shikoku that is surrounded by the Pacific and mountains.
Masaaki Uemori and Kokuto Uemori are running the office now.
Their characteristics of the work is that they use natural material in the area often.
Many of their works are in Japan, and they are in wide variety such as nursery school, clinic, collective house, cottage and store.
