コジラは単に巨大な怪獣が東京を破壊するというアクション映画ではなく、
実は、核兵器に対するメッセージや、有事の際に政治家や官僚が適切な対応を取れない事への皮肉など、社会性がふんだんに盛り込まれています。

ゴジラはシリーズ映画で、最初の作品は今からもう60年前に公開されています。
ここ10年程、新作が出なかったのですが、
アニメ・エヴァンゲリオンで有名な庵野秀明がメガホンを取ったということで、話題になりました。

海中で核廃棄物を餌に突然変異した巨大不明生物が人間を襲うという設定が秀逸です

Godzilla isn't simply an action movie about an enormous monster that destroys Tokyo. In fact, it includes a message against nuclear weapons, and a satire towards politicians and bureaucrats that don't take the appropriate measures when there's an emergency, and many other such societal issues.

It's now more than 60 years since the first production of the Godzilla movie series was screened to the public. No new production was put out for up to 10 years but the famous anime evangelist Hideaki Anno made a subject by taking up a megaphone.

The setting in the middle of the ocean, where a huge, unknown creature, having mutated nuclear waste into bait, then attacks the people, is excellent.
