この本を通じて私が覚えたことの一つはJesusに洗礼をしたJohnの生き方についてです。JesusがJohnから洗礼を受けたことでJohnをjesus以上に持ち上げた人々もいたようですが、john自身が、Jesusを自分以上に偉大なお方、すなわち永遠から存在した神の御子として認めていたことを記しました。「①」【A】。また【B】までで彼ははっきりとMessiahでもElijahの再来でも、Prophetでもないと言っています。彼は【C】を引用して「②」と自分のことを言っています

What I learned from this book is the life of John who was baptized by Jesus. The fact that Jesus baptized John, there were some people who thought John is more important than Jesus. John however wrote that Jesus was much greater person and that he was recognized as a son of God. 「①」【A】 Also he wrote very clearly that he was not Messiah nor a second coming of Elijah nor the Prophet in 【B】. He sited 【C】 and described himself as 「②」.
