I am a registered business in Japan selling on Amazon Europe. I have a question; I recently made an inquiry with Amazon.co.uk customer support asking whether my business needs to register for a VAT number, and they introduced me to your company and told me to ask for more details here.
In Japan, I cannot find the correct details regarding the registration for VAT number, so I have decided to ask you directly. Will I need to register for a VAT number if I am selling through FBA? Or are there requirements that need to be met? Could you also tell me an example of a situation where I would have to register for a VAT number?
