Similar patterns can easily be seen in cinemas, public tpo;ets. aor@;ames. trains and buses. This is a reflection of the fact that we all take with us, everywhere we go, a portable territory called a 'personal Space'. If people move inside this area, we feel threatened. If they keep too far outside it, we feel rejected. The result is a quiet series of usually unconscious adjustments of space, as we move towards or away from people.
