ホームレスの問題は世界各国であり、減少を目指して政府の様々な取り組みが行われている。一番大事なのは今の現状から救うプロセルではなく現状から脱出させる手助けをする事だと強く思う。傷を負った人に手当をするのではなく、防止それが自立という事だ。自立は人それぞれ、人の数だけ形が違う。共通して言えるのは自立とは自らの力で生活を立てているという“自覚”と“誇り”ではないかと考える。私が日本にいた時、ホームレスが販売するbigissuueという雑誌がメディアで取り上げていたのを覚えている。

There is the issue of the homeless everywhere in the world, and central governments do a lot of things to tackle on the issue and decrease the number of the homeless. I am absolutely sure that the most important thing is not the process to get out from their current conditions, but helping them to do that. It means that we should not cure the wounded people but prevent them from wounding, that is self-dependent. The style of self-dependent varies among individuals, but I think all the people need "consciousness" and "pride" that they live by themselves. I remember the media featured the bigissue that the homeless sell when I was in Japan.
