社外の校正機関は、国家機関によって国家標準に基づいて校正された基準器による制度の確認を行っている。
従って全ての計測器は最終的に国家標準によって校正されていることになる。

また三次元測定機、自動的に電気回路の特性等を検査する装置類も含まれる。
