製品検査の大事なことは、「不良品限度の見極め」だと思う。
あなたの検査部署にもきっと限度見本のようなものがあるはずです。
そうでなければ逆に楽で、徹底的にアラ探しのように検査すればいいのですが、それでは生産サイドや納入先からクレームが出るはず。
製品検査とは厳しく検査しすぎてもダメだし、テキトーにしてもダメ…というところが難しいところです。
自分の中で「このくらいのキズはＯＫ、これ以上は不良品だ」という基準をきちんと確立できていないと迷ったり、必要以上によく見たりすると思う。

Your inspection department must have the sample of defective product.
It would be easier if you do not have the sample, and you just need to inspect the products thoroughly like nitpicking, but if you do that, you would get some claims from production side or delivery destination.
It is not good to inspect the product too strictly or to inspect them coarsely. This is difficult point.
You would hesitate to make decision or judge the product in an appropriate way if you have not decided the criterion like "This scratch would be no problem and if the scratch is more than this, it would be a defective product".
