1.ゼロ点調整は良いか
測定を開始する前に必ずゼロ点調整をしなければならない。もしゼロ点が狂っているとせっかく測定しても値が信用できない。測定中にも繰返しゼロ点調整を行う事が大切。

2.取扱いは丁寧か
乱暴に扱うと変形したり、欠けたり、磨耗したりして計測器を早く痛めてしまう。

3.正しく真正面で読んでいるか
目盛と指針の間に少し間隔のある計測器では、見方によって読んだ値が違ってくる。

4.計測器の足場、姿勢はよいか
電気計器や秤などを傾けたり足場が不安定な所で使用すると、正しい値を示さない
