CPAの基準化・標準化委員会では、2011年の東日本大震災後、会議やコンベンション分野における大規模災害の対策や準備を検討。イベント開催時に発生した場合には参加者を安全に誘導し、帰宅困難者対策を施す使命を抱えるコンベンション業界関係者のために、勉強会を実施することとなった。
