Countries that signed this agreement promised to reduce their emissions of greehouse gases. This agreement covers more than 160 countries and over 55% of global greenhouse gas emissions. On a personal level, we can help by using less energy. Because a large amount of greenhouse gases comes from power plants, we can reduce energy use by turning off lights and other electrical appliances when not using them. Driving fuel-efficient cars with hybrid engines can also help reduce CO2 emissions.
