メーカーに問い合わせてみました。
日付が変わらない理由としては、次のことが考えられます。
・ソーラー充電が十分でない
・都市の設定が正しくない
・電波の自動受信をOFFにしている
・時計モードになっていない
とのことでした。
また、モントリオールでお使いの場合、地形によっては電波が届いていない可能性もあるとのことです。
その場合は、日付を手動で設定する必要があるとのことです(マニュアルのE-44・45)。
今一度設定し直し、動作しない場合は、返品の手続きをとることができますのでご連絡ください。

I have inquired with the manufacturer.
According to them, there are following reasons for not changing the dating.
・Solar battery is not charged enough,
・Home city setting is incorrect.
・Automatic radio signal reception is turned off.
・It is not set to the clock mode.
In addition, if it is used in Montreal, there may be a chance that the clock may be the out of coverage of the satellite signal depending of the terrain.
If it is so, you will need to set the dating manually (refer to E-44 and 45 of user manual).
Please try to set once more. If it is not working yet, please let me know as I will process the return procedure.
