sorry for a late response , well considering the structure you are concern it is not poisonoous or harmfull in any means ,it called tonin sorry I do not know the right name on english so I simply have type it from russina with english words , it isa in use in archeological to prevent iron from the rust damage . It easily can be washed out with alchol spirit . Sorry for this mess , right now I usually do sanding all my track links and then paint with simple matt black paint. Best regards.
