NFCを実用化するとかざすやタッチするなどユーザのアクションが必要、iBeaconは近づくだけ、ノーアクションでも通信が可能

■ハード面の優位性
NFCはモバイル端末にNFCチップの搭載が必要、iBeaconはBluetooth LEの搭載で通信が可能

補足：iBeacon押しのAppleなのでiPhone にNFCは非対応。またAndoroid4.3以降はBluetooth LEに対応。

Some user action is required for NFC to work such as touching or holding it. iBeacon can communicate when a user approaches it without any action required.

■ Advantage of hardware
NFC requires NFC chip installed on mobile terminals, while iBeacon requires only Bluetooth LE installed on it to communicate.

Note: Since Apple pushes iBeacon, iPhones don't support NFC. Also, Andoroid4.3 and later support Bluetooth LE.
