教員の呼び方。 その他、以下の職業に就く者も、先生と呼ばれることもある。以下は代表例であるが、社会全般では慣習上のことであり、先生の敬称を用いるか否か絶対的な条件があるわけではない。これらの類型に入らない自営業・企業経営者、あるいは私的に結ばれた師弟関係の中で師にあたる人物を敬称することもある。

The way how the students call their teachers. Other than teachers, those who are engaged in the following jobs are called “teacher”. Though the statements below are the typical example, it is just a social custom, and there is not definite condition if the title of “teacher” should be used or not. Some respect person who is a self-employed, or a manager of a firm, or so-called a mentor in privately tied master-and-pupil relationship.
