一般的に「僕/ぼく/ボク」は男性が用いる一人称であるが、創作作品においては一人称に「僕・ボク」を用いる女性キャラクターが一定数存在し、萌え要素の一つとなっている。多くはボーイッシュ・中性的なキャラクターがこれに当て嵌まるが、必ずしもそうとは限らず、幼さを連想させることも多い。

Though "Boku" is normally used as the first person pronoun for male person, in some fictions, even female characters call themselves "Boku", and that makes us feel affection for the caharacters, which we call "Moe" characters. Many of us imagine that "Moe" characters are boyish and sexless female, but we ofen call the very young characters "Moe" as well.
