The lowest price I have been able to find from honemeisters here in
the States is $15 and that is minus shipping. Plus, I don't know how
many of them have had experience honing traditonal japanese razors.
I have purchased 'shave ready' straights on Ebay & Badger and Blade
and some were not 'shave ready' . I sent some out to get honed,
the results were satisfactory to less than satisfactory-one
individual honed razors and removed a few generations of steel,
while another wasnt able to hone them. One did hone a japanese
frameback and put on a sharp edge. Perhaps you could increase the
refund, all considerations taken.
