授業はまず金属・加工についてのインターネット調査・リポート作成で始まる。つぎに生徒たちはサツマイモを種付け・育成し、その間にブリキのポンポン船を制作する。育ったらアルコールを蒸留・抽出し、それをエネルギーとして、ポンポン船を走らせる。

The class starts off with Internet research and report writing about metal and processing. Next the students make a pop pop boat made of tin while they mate and grow sweet potatoes. Then they run the boat with alcohol as fuel which is distilled and extracted from the grown potatoes.
