香港政府観光局は10月1日付で、日本局長に堀和典（ほり・かずのり）氏が就任したことを発表した。同氏は今後、香港政府観光局の日本におけるマーケティング戦略の策定と実施に取り組んでいく。
堀氏は、前職ではオーストラリア政府観光局に 17 年間在籍。2005 年から同局日本局長として８年間在任。日本の観光マーケットを熟知する旅行のエキスパートで、旅行業界関係者と密接な関係をもっている。
