Musicians Friend seems to be their primary distributor in the USA. They may be a captive house brand, but these builders often produce for other labels as well.
They are sourced (manufactured/assembled) primarily from China though some bits may be from Indonesia, Korea, or Mexico.
Parts can be sourced from other nations and are generally non-licensed but functional reproductions of branded parts.
I think they meet most buyers expectations for price-point performance.
If you are concerned about the relative quality versus status versus price issues those are generally personal.
